Step 1: Add salt and pepper to beef cubes, brown in hot oil in a skillet, then transfer to crockpot. To the same skillet add onion and garlic, cook for a few minutes just to soften, put in crockpot.
Step 2: Combine ketchup with worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, paprika, dry mustard and 1/2 water . Pour this mixture over beef and onions in crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 9 - 10 hours.
Step 3: After 9-10 hours of cooking, dissolve 1/3 cup flour in small amount of water, turn to high and stir in flour/water mixture. Cook 10 - 15 minutes more.
