Step 1: Soak the onion in the sherry.
Step 2: Meanwhile, stir together the cream cheese, green olives, mayonnaise, and chopped dried beef.
Step 3: Add the onions and sherry mixture. Stir well.
Step 4: Serve on Rye Krisp crackers.
Step 5: Best if made 6-8 hours ahead of time.
