Step 1: Melt butter in a skillet and saute the onion until wilted.
Step 2: Add mushrooms and cook until light brown and a little crisped around the edges.
Step 3: Add salt and pepper.
Step 4: Spoon mixture onto bread.
Step 5: Sprinkle with parsley.
