Step 1: Drizzle the oil in a skillet and bring to medium-high heat on the stove top; add the crushed garlic.
Step 2: Sprinkle the chicken strips with salt and pepper to taste, add to skillet and cook until you have a nice golden crust on both sides; remove the chicken pieces from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Pour in the wine, add the sliced shallots and cook until wine is almost completely reduced.
Step 4: Whisk together the broth, honey, mustard, hot pepper flakes and cornstarch and slowly pour into the skillet.
Step 5: Add the chicken strips bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
