Step 1: Soak mushrooms in chicken broth 30 minutes.
Step 2: In pan, bring chicken, carrots, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and onions to boil; turn down to simmer, add spices and oils, cook 30 minutes.
Step 3: Add green onions. Serve.
Step 4: Grate black pepper over top.
