Step 1: Chop the peppers and onions and place in a large soup pot.
Step 2: Add the chili powder and spices, beans, tomato sauce tomato paste and the beer. Stir well and let rest.
Step 3: Brown the ground round in a large skillet - be sure to get a good browning on the meat as it adds so much more depth of flavor - and add to the soup pot. Stir well and simmer on low to medium heat for 1-3 hours.
