Step 1: Preheat oven top 400 degrees.
Step 2: Double sift together all dry ingredients(double sifting is most important)
Step 3: Cut shortening into dry ingredients,until it looks like crumbly cornbread or small peas.
Step 4: Add milk just until a dough ball is formed(you might have to add a bit more flour or milk to get the right texture.
Step 5: Then mix in bacon and cheese,being careful not to over work dough.
Step 6: On a floured counter or board,knead for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 7: Pat dough to a 1/3 inch thickness and cut 4 biscuits with a floured biscuit cutter.
Step 8: Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet(I used greased parchment paper for easier clean up.)and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
