Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit and brush the insides of 12 muffin cups the the melted butter.
Step 2: Add eggs and milk to a medium-sized bowl and whisk together until well blended.
Step 3: Add the flour and salt; whisk until well blended (a few lumps in the batter are okay).
Step 4: Fill muffin cups about 1/2 to 2/3 full.
Step 5: Bake 25 minutes if using 2 eggs, 30 minutes if used 3 eggs, 35 minutes if using 4 eggs (don't open oven while popovers are baking).
Step 6: Remove popovers from muffin cups immediately and prick with a fork so that the steam can escape. Serve hot from the oven; plain, with butter, with jam or with honey.
