Step 1: Make sure pears are peeled, cored, and chopped or grated.
Step 2: Grate rind of lime and extract juice.
Step 3: Mix pears, sugar, rind, juice and ginger together in pan. Bring to boil. Turn down heat and simmer 45 minutes. Stirring until food is clear and liquid has thickened.
Step 4: Pour into jars and seal.
