Step 1: Hull strawberries and slice
Step 2: In a saucepan mix the cornstarch and sugar.
Step 3: Add strawberries, water, lemon juice and zest.
Step 4: Over medium-low heat,stirring frequently, bring mixture to a gentle boil. It will clear and thicken as soon as it reaches a boil. Remove from heat. Serve warm or at room temperature. Refrigerate leftovers and use within a few days.
