Step 1: In a large heavy based fry pan, heat oil and add minced beef and bacon and cook for 5 or so minutes, breaking up any lumps, until nicely browed.
Step 2: Add onion, garlic, celery, bay leaves, chilli, salt and pepper and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are softened.
Step 3: Pour in passata and stock and then add spaghetti and stir well and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until pasta is al dente.
Step 4: Serve on slices of toasted sour dough bread topped which cheese.
