Step 1: Leave chicken whole.
Step 2: Wash chicken, drain and pat dry.
Step 3: Mix tarragon and garlic together.
Step 4: Sprinkle mixed seasonings inside cavity of chicken and over the outside.
Step 5: Place chicken in crock pot, breast side up.
Step 6: Pour broth into crock pot
Step 7: Sprinkle rest of seasoning mix over the chicken.
Step 8: Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Step 9: TO MAKE GRAVY Remove chicken from crock and keep warm.
Step 10: Add thickening to thicken gravy to desired thickness.
Step 11: OVEN DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 12: Put chicken in roasting pan.
Step 13: Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until chicken is golden and juices run clear.
Step 14: Use broth to make gravy following directions above.
