Step 1: Freeze bananas on a wax paper or parchment paper lined tray until until solid (2 hours or overnight)
Step 2: Add to food processor (not a blender - the blade isn't big enough) and blend until creamy. Be patient, they will first become grainy. You'll need to scrape them down a few times and continue blending until they're creamy. It should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 3: If you choose to add a flavouring, add with the bananas.
Step 4: Top with maple syrup, nuts, etc, if desired. (I like it plain)
