Step 1: Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, nutmeg, onion powder, salt, pepper, egg and garlic together. Make 16 meatballs.
Step 2: Brown meatballs under broiler until golden brown.
Step 3: Steam the tomatoes and onion while meat is broiling.
Step 4: When meatballs are browned put in tomato mixture.
Step 5: Add parsley, salt, cinnamon, dash saffron if using, turmeric, pepper, and tomato juice.
Step 6: Close lid tightly and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
