Step 1: Proof yeast water and milk, sugar and shortening.

Step 4: Knead put in greased bowl
Step 5: Grease top; cover with plastic film and place in 90 degree Fahrenheit oven. Set timer for one hour.Dough should be doubled in size.
Step 6: Shape into rolls. Brush tops with melted butter. Let rise in pan about 1 hour more in 90 degree Fahrenheit oven; should be doubled in size.
Step 7: Bake in 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 minutes or until browned. Remove immediately into a towel; cover with another towel to cool.
Step 8: KOLACHES: Do as for rolls but when ready to bake make a large indention for filling.
Step 9: After filling is in, let rise for another 30 minutes in 90 degree Fahrenheit oven or until edges neaten up again.
Step 10: Delicious with any thickened fruit for filling.
