Step 1: Place the butter in a medium pan with the maple syrup and melt over a gentle heat.
Step 2: Stir in raisins and remove from heat.
Step 3: Add the bananas and mix well.
Step 4: Add the oats and stir until all the oats have been coated.
Step 5: Spoon the mixture onto an 11 x 7 inch non-stick jelly roll pan and level the surface with a potato masher for ease.
Step 6: Bake in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 minutes until the top is just beginning to turn a pale golden.
Step 7: The mixture will seem somewhat soft.
Step 8: Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before cutting into 12 bars.
Step 9: Remove from pan and allow cooling completely. (If you like the bars to be a bit dryer, leave them out uncovered for a day.)
