Step 1: In a non stick skillet large enough to hold all ingredients and over medium heat,heat drippings/oil until hot but not smoking.
Step 2: Add sausage,bacon,and onions,then cook until onion is soft and meats are slightly browned.
Step 3: Then add all vegetables,making sure to combine all ingredients well and sprinkle with salt & pepper(if using other seasonings,add at this point).
Step 4: Reduce heat to low and add water,and cover with lid slightly tilted so steam can escape.
Step 5: Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender.
Step 6: Taste and if needed,adjust seasonings.
