Step 1: Place potatoes in bottom of slow cooker.
Step 2: Trim fat from roast. Season meat well with salt and pepper on all sides. heat oil in skillet, brown meat on all sides.
Step 3: Place meat on top of potatoes in the crockpot.
Step 4: Brown onions and garlic in the pan drippings.
Step 5: Add the tomato sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce, and salt to onions and garlic.
Step 6: Pour this sauce mixture over the roast.
Step 7: Cover and cook on high 4 to 5 hours until meat is tender (6 to 7 if cooked on low).
Step 8: Before serving, place the sauce in a saucepan. Cook until thickened. Pous over meat as a gravy.
