Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: In a medium size bowl,sift together first 5 dry ingredients.
Step 3: Make three "wells", in first well, pour in vegetable oil.
Step 4: In the second well, add vinegar, in third well add vanilla.
Step 5: Pour cold water over all and mix well with fork or whisk.
Step 6: Add spice mix and mix well,then taste, if you feel like it needs more spice add another 1/2 teaspoon.
Step 7: Bake in a greased 8 by 8 inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center comes out slightly clean.
