Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat,fry bacon until almost crisp.
Step 2: Place bacon on paper towel to absorb drippings,after bacon is cooled crumble and set aside.
Step 3: In remaining bacon "drippings" cook onions until slightly softened,then add smoked sausage add oil at this time if needed and cook until lightly browned.
Step 4: Add both cans of beans,seasonings,and crumbled bacon stirring until seasonings are well combined.
Step 5: Cover and reduce heat to simmer.
Step 6: Cook on simmer for 15 minutes or until beans are slightly tender.
