Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, beat butter with sugar and minced ginger.
Step 3: Beat in the egg.
Step 4: Mix in mashed bananas and mix well. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix into the wet ingredients. Stir in the raisins or nute.
Step 5: Pour batter into a greased 8-inch loaf pan.
Step 6: Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
