Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 6 cups water
- 3 boullion cubes (beef)
- 2 cups carrots, sliced
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cup celery, sliced
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper
- 1/3 cup barley, uncooked
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- Pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes (chop up)
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
How to Make

Step 1: In 5 quart dutch oven brown beef, drain well.

Step 2: Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil.

Step 3: Reduce hat cover and simmer 1 hour or barley tender remove bay leaf.
