Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 box (85 gram) whole wheat penne pasta
  • 2 to 3 cups tomato sauce (your favourite tomato sauce)
  • 4 to 6 cups Alfredo sauce (your favourite Alfredo sauce)
  • 3 chicken breast (uncooked)
  • Mushrooms
  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (drained)
  • Marble or mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon garlic butter (or regular butter, I just prefer the garlic butter)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Start off with boiling your chicken breast. Usually takes 20min. Cut breast in half and make sure there is no pink. In a separate pot you can also start cooking the penne. Once these items are done cooking, drain and set aside. Once the chicken has cooled, cut the chicken into bit size cubes.

  • Step 2: Chop your mushrooms and red peppers

  • Step 3: In a frying pan add your 1tbs of garlic butter. Once the butter has melted a bit add your chopped mushrooms. Cook mushrooms for 5min then add your chopped red peppers. Cook another 5min. Add I can diced tomatoes drained and cook for another 5min. If you like a bit of spice add some franks red hot or chilli peppers with the can of diced tomatoes.

  • Step 4: In a large deep dish casserole dish (spray with a non-stick spray) you are going to layer the ingredients. Pasta, mushroom pepper mixture, diced chicken, tomato sauce 1/2 jar, Alfredo sauce 1 jar, shredded cheese. Repeat. When I make it there are only two layers.

  • Step 5: Preheat oven to 350. Place uncovered dish in oven for 35min or until sauce starts to bubble.
