Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Syrup:
  • 1 cup strawberries,mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • Dip:
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Filling:
  • 1 package ( 8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 loaf (16 ounces) french bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Topping:
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces reddi whip whipped cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium saucepan

  • Step 2: Heat the strawberries, saltand 1/2 cup white sugar over medium heat.

  • Step 3: In a small bowl

  • Step 4: Mix the cornstarch and water together and add to the strawberries.

  • Step 5: Cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low

  • Step 6: And simmer while preparing remaining ingredients, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 7: In a shallow bowl

  • Step 8: Whisk the eggs, salt,milk, and cinnamon together.

  • Step 9: Set aside.

  • Step 10: Mix the cream cheese, vanilla extract,salt and 3/4 cup white sugar together in a bowl, until smooth.

  • Step 11: Cut your French bread into slices that are 2 inches thick.

  • Step 12: Then cut a slit in each of the slices that reaches almost to the back, but doesn't break through the other side.

  • Step 13: Stuff the cream cheese mixture into the bread. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.

  • Step 14: In a large skillet

  • Step 15: Heat the butter over low-medium heat.

  • Step 16: Dip the stuffed bread in the egg mixture

  • Step 17: Covering both sides and letting the excess drip off, then place in the skillet.

  • Step 18: Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.

  • Step 19: Cover with a lid in the beginning to get inside hot

  • Step 20: Spoon over the syrup and use reddi whip along with butter

  • Step 21: Sprinkle on cinnamon
