  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 potato, diced (medium potato, peeled and cut into large dice)
  • 1/2 cup peas (green)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, cut in half (white)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, thoroughly mix salt, sugar, and tomato paste.

  • Step 2: Coat chicken with this mixture and marinate for 15 minutes.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a deep pot and stir-fry the garlic and onion until fragrant.

  • Step 4: Add chicken and saute about 5 more minutes.

  • Step 5: Pour water and red wine into the pan, stir in potatoes, green peas, and mushrooms, and simmer for 20 minutes.
