Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 2 bananas, whole (large bananas, mashed)
  • 3 3/4 cups oats (rolled oats)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the butter in a medium pan with the maple syrup and melt over a gentle heat.

  • Step 2: Stir in raisins and remove from heat.

  • Step 3: Add the bananas and mix well.

  • Step 4: Add the oats and stir until all the oats have been coated.

  • Step 5: Spoon the mixture onto an 11 x 7 inch non-stick jelly roll pan and level the surface with a potato masher for ease.

  • Step 6: Bake in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 minutes until the top is just beginning to turn a pale golden.

  • Step 7: The mixture will seem somewhat soft.

  • Step 8: Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before cutting into 12 bars.

  • Step 9: Remove from pan and allow cooling completely. (If you like the bars to be a bit dryer, leave them out uncovered for a day.)
