Step 1

Prepare lemonade by combining the fresh lemon juice, sugar & water in a small pitcher. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 2

Make drinks by filling each of 2 16-ounce glasses with ice. Add 1 1/2 ounces of Bacardi Limon to each glass & fill to the top w/lemonade. Squeeze 2 lemon wedges into each glass & drop them into the drink. Cut a small slice in each of the 2 remaining lemon wedges & attach them to the rim of the glasses. Serve w/a smile & expect one in return.

This was just a tad too tart for our taste buds. Otherwise, it was good. It might be that the lemons I used are on the tart side. I didn't want to over-indulge with the sugar, but I tried adding a few more teaspoons of sugar and it was still too tart, though it does have a lovely crisp citrus base. It might be one of those drinks that's best enjoyed on a hot summer day when we crave lemonade to quench our thirst, and I'll think of this cocktail as a replacement. Thanks, twissis.

Yummy lemonade type of cocktail, my favorite!! I made 1/2 of the recipe for one large drink. I heated my water to boiling and then added the sugar to make a syrup and make sure the sugar dissolved, then added the lemon juice and set in the fridge for over a day to chill. So tasty and quenched my thirst after being out this almost 80 degree weather in December. Thanks for sharing the recipe and congrats on your win in the football pool!!
