Flashfood

Post by Sue » Mon Dec 05, 2022 2:41 pm

I don't know if anyone has tried the flashfood app. It is available both in the States and Canada.
What it is- an app where grocery stores are offering up foods at half price or more as they approach their shelf date, to prevent food waste.
I have bought many things in perfect condition so I can attest to their food quality, at least in my area.
With the high inflation, I figured many deserve a heads-up about it. We all could stand to save a few dollars.

Sounds like a big savings.

I've saved $350 in the last 5 weeks.
The operate both USA and Canada.
This week I bought ground beef 1.25/#, bagged salads 1.30/ea., charcuterie half off, bacon 2.75/#, leg of lamb half off and even got a prime rib roast for half a few weeks ago.
My freezer is loving it.

I've started seeing flat corned beef brisket in the app, along with the appearance of fresh asparagus. If you want to keep a sharp eye for your early Spring recipes.
