So sorry to hear. 4 yrs ago we had a tropical storm and my lanai got hit. Unfortunately my home warranty doesn't cover structural; and, my house like Shadows, home insurance, was a 1,000 deductible. It cost about 5,000 to repair everything.
Never easy; and, it seems to hit all at once. Trust me, it happens all the time.

I am watching Master Chef on TV where the contestants get a box of goodies and then have to prepare whatever the judges say. Started out with 20 chefs - now down to 14. Fun twists in it. None of the contestants are professional chefs
Don't you just miss all the cooking contests we used to play?
I always liked the challenge of it.

My joints are being the devil to me today (and past few days). I've been having fun sitting with a heating pad on the thoracic. We had to go up to Dayton to get some blood work for me so I think the 45min car ride set this one off--it's the vibrations from the road, I think. And sitting with limbs confined in the car. Fortunately the a/c is keeping me from getting to warm with the pad- it is about 80 out and a huge line of storms is coming. About an hour out from here now I think.
Don't worry about my back, I am about ten years into it and I get by. I just do the best with whatever day I have and that's fine.
Spending part of today trying to help Bill find some airfare to Milwaukee so he and one if his cousins can close our uncle's estate. He passed away and lived alone, but fortunately a neighbor had been keeping an eye on him, because, you know. That could be horrible with no one around. He had no other family and was a life long bachelor. He was quiet and reserved- that typical German-Swedish kind of disposition. But when he had something to say he sure knew his mind and stood to it.
My garden is *trying* to grow. I should get some peppers and squash soon. First up is jalapenos and some yellow squash. Tomatoes are so slow. Flowers, I have some doing nice and others haven't done as well with the unusual weather. Geraniums suffer and all plants slow growing. Way too much rain.
Not a lot else going on. The 4th was noisy- I have a neighbor must have spent his life savings on fireworks shells and wasn't shy about letting his neighbors know, even close to midnight, days on end.
I think he finally ran out but don't want to open my mouth for fear of him finding a new stash. He's had the biggest shells w/report I have ever heard for home use.

Sue, so sorry to hear about your aches and pain issues. That sucks! No fun; and, long car rides do NOT help either.

Been pretty dry down here, only one good rain in 2-3 weeks; but, some areas have been getting lots. NOT me. 90's heat index of 100+; dry, and sunny. Typical FL.

Been having fun with my mystery baskets. On #6 delivered tomorrow. Really fun to do. Fourth was fun; just a party at my friends. Been doing some fishing; and, just work. Pretty normal stuff.

Doing a bunch of home repairs is all. Pretty non exciting! lol
