Looking at it the holes are smooth, not sharp, like a grater, I think it is used for squeezing something to get the juice out

Very observant, Bergy. I'm at a loss (since I can't use it to make a grilled cheese =-), but I'd try it on one of those recipes that tells you to squeeze the liquid from a package of defrosted spinach. :lol:

This one looks easy, but its the name that might be hard. It can be used for several things however.
