We have sunny skies this morning! Got the chicken coup all ready to receive my neighbour's chicks...they have most of their feathers in now, but still have the heat lamp on 24/7. Took my Chi out to see them (he was in my arms) and he was fascinated!!! The next time I took him out to do his business...he pulled and pulled toward the coup. He wanted to see the chickens again...how cute is that???

Still hauling in wood...albeit we only have a night time fires now.

See my robin is still hanging out in my back yard, hoping she will check out the 'robin house' on the garage wall that has yet to be used. The vine has grown back which gives added shelter and has seen to nesting of robins as well as doves. The best part of all I can watch them from my kitchen window.

Have to love chihuahuas, not only for most part joined at the hip they are so curious and don't seem to miss a thing! I am guessing he was absolutely enthralled with the baby chicks!

Ah...Desmond Tutu...such a great and wonderful man he was! Love him and what he stood for! And this says it all:

Had a lovely birthday supper last night to celebrate daughters birthday, the dessert an awesome tiramisu cake with lady fingers from a french bakery, a special gift from her youngest. It was a wow and a surprise!

This morning the Palm Sunday Service, this evening Palm Sunday choir a start to Easter week. We have had melt but seems we may have snow coming our way. Again.

Sitting at 0 this morning, sun is shining so just maybe we will miss that snow. One lot of projects needing doing before Easter weekend which will make for a busy week.

Tomorrow tiny mama my rescue will have her surgery and soon after both mamma and baby will be leaving the kennels and join our family. They all seem friendly so should go well.

To a new week of projects ... "The best things in life happen when you’re not looking for them"

Snow is all but gone! Grass will be growing and then the mowing starts!

See we have gone up to plus one this morning, yesterday afternoon saw the sun warming the back deck has me thinking time to set up my little bistro set ready for morning coffee. Not this morning! But did check the rhubarb and find that yes mine too are popping up as are daylilies and such and there are more robins!

My tiny tiny rescue momma's surgery today, I am sure we all are relieved when they are back home. I remind myself it is my gift to her to be able to enjoy a loving home and all the comforts she so deserves.

Off to town this morning for last minute shopping before DD/DGD arrive tomorrow morning.

I hope you were able to fashion a cone for Momma cat so that she can drink/eat! And hopefully she is recovering well from the surgery!!
