Well, I'm on fall break for the week - hopefully I can use this to catch up on college work, sleep, and sneak in a little fun.

And thus starts the long winter darkness for us. In winter the sun does comes up until close to 8:30am and dark by 3:30pm. These mornings now the sun comes up at 7:30am.
We too are experiencing the "beat the clock" as you say Gerry...getting outdoor work done before the snow flies. Hope you got the good day for outdoor work!
Sure hope your break is restful, and you accomplish what you need to Misa...you deserve it!

It has been cloudy, sunny and rainy everyday here lately. I need to mow one more time before winter and if it does not stop raining...will not get done and that makes next spring a difficult mow. Yikes!

Feeling like the Pacific Northwest...so much rain here lately. Not the norm for our area. Usually we have a dry cool October. Now it is wet and cool...temp this morning...8C (46.4F).

That is good Judy! Are the fires out in Oregon now? I would imagine so...but you never know.
So much rain here that I just might have to dig trenches to wick the water away from our home (just like I do in the Spring). Oh my! Things they are a changin'!

no the fires are still blazing but mostly contained. but i guess that is different with each fire

Good thing that the fire is contained!!! Scary and sad to think of the animals during these times.
Chilly here this morning 3C (33.8F). But with the heat from the fire...it keeps the dampness out of the house. And it feels good to come out of the cold bedroom into warmth!
