For the most part here on the prairies it has been a cold damp May, then there are days as was this Monday, the kind of day I wish we had more of. Monday Day 70 saw my first visitors, since they are retired respriratory specialists that have survied years of flu and epidemics and I on day 70 I think we have been super carefull and felt we were safe.

Masks made here are almost impossible to get so you can imagine how happy I was with the awesome mask made and gifted by sis in law. It was a garden day. Between us we decided on a place to add a compost bin with the area now cleared and ready for son to do the building. The major bin will be at my farm north of town. Major bagging done and one area to go when it warms this morning.

Once again computer issues and outdoor activity sees me not online one whole lot, while the tablet is a large one it remains a much smaller screen for me as well as a major learning experience which sees me basically not online all all that often. That and one lot of happenings these past months.

I am wondering just which chopper you decided on Judy, the mention of blades has me wonder if it is the mandoline, I had been thinking one like my OXO chopper I use for veggies.

Patty I suspect you and I will be busy outdoors for the next while and I am sure we are all hoping for Misa to see to good news. Been clicking. Take care and stay safe.

Clicks are in! :O3

It was indeed hot here yesterday like you Judy. Did manage to get 2 hours of mowing in the morning before I petered out.

Like you Misa...I will not be eating in town at all for a long time. And I do not to do take out. I take a snack from home. Have you heard anything about your library studies?

You know Gerry...with the weather the way it has been...we still have not got the plastic on the greenhouse yet. And the person who was to help us went back to the coast. So I have no idea if or when it will be done. Not liking the probability that I will not have a veggie garden again this year. Oh well...there is Desert Hills Farms!

Make a beauteous day! :-)

Looked at the chopper/mandolin combo and it looks wonderful!! Looks like it should work like charm for you!

Off to mow this morning...did not get out yesterday as it was blowing cold air and overcast. Never did warm up yesterday. But today is sunny and they say it will be warm.

Have a wonderous day! :-)

It was hot here too yesterday Judy. Did get out to mow...but no breeze so the mozzies and black flies were out in full force. As no breeze...they were swarming around me. I do not use bug spray ever...so got done what I wanted and back in the house with no bites.

Have an amazing day! :-)

don't know if it applies to flies but if you rub a dryer sheet on your skin it will repel mosquitoes

I hope all are doing well. Quiet couple of days on my front, and that's just fine with me. Both the cats are here as I click - Jynx is on the back of my chair, and Zelda is at my feet. Our local electric co-op sends out a magazine every couple of months. The new issue hit my mailbox today. It had several delicious sounding summer squash recipes. I will be so happy when fresh local squash hits!

Thank you for the tip Judy...but I don't put any chemicals on my skin as it is absorbed. And I don't use dryer sheets either. With the increase of cancer...I don't take any chances. I would rather have bug bites.

Good to hear that your life has settled a wee bit Misa! Are things getting back to some kind of normal for your DH? I know having pets...that it is making this sequestering so much easier and happier.

Keep a happy heart! :-)
