Re: ~ Click to Feed the Animals ~
Had a circuit breaker go making for computer issues which will see to no comp until my gran flies home from Toronto for Christmas. Have a new tablet with the larger screen and a keyboard but all in all it's a learning experience. Need had me learn more in 3/4 hour than I did in the past year!
I am sure Patti had a well deserved weekend and looking to hear how the weekend has gone for both Judy and Misa. Tommorow should see to my washer delivery, Cathy has been tking care of my tea towels and towels but there will be baskets and baskets of clothes as well as all the bedding from the holiday weekend to giving that machine test run. Had unexpected mail on Thursday and an early morning call on Friday to confirm a cat scan ordered by the specialist I saw, called the office and yes he has it on for Tuesday morning. The weeks and weeks of heavy duty meds have the eardrum itself finally taken care of but since I still have way too many symtoms I decided maybe he does know best as I really hoping to see to healing would slowly happen. Not good timimg as today sees me getting through that Ocober week that was. Not on the agenda but I am sure it will work out.
Wishing everyone a happy Sunday and a great week.
(noted missing 'a's but at this point have no idea as how to go back to correct, so do bear with me it is so unlike my comp)

Gerry - I hope we get good news on Tuesday! I've been thinking about you.
Had a busy but nice weekend - Mom and I drove up to a little town about an hour-ish away; supposed to be the biggest antique district in our state, and we enjoyed it quite so. Our only complaint was some businesses decided not to open due to a race held earlier in the morning - I was really hoping to check out the woodworker there, but alas he did not open up, so another trip. We both walked away with goodies - I found a few pieces to add to the vintage part of my Fiesta/Harlequin collection and a nice vegetable bin. Trying to decide if I want to leave the bin as is or freshen it up with some paint. One of the things we thought was interesting on the drive - we found a curious thing! It was a converted airplane that was once a gas station, that is now a barber shop! There were the old pumps sitting outside. I wish I had a picture.
Today was spent filling out grade cards and getting out to walk; temps have been pleasantly cool the past few days, and rain! Oh, how we need the rain. We are having a last minute potluck thrust upon us Tuesday at work. (Toms shoes is coming to give K-2 a new pair of shoes) I'm not sure what I'm supposed to bring since they did not send around a sign up sheet Friday. So, scrambling and shopping and cooking after work tomorrow I guess. We must have good cooks, because every year they come, they request for us to be the school that feeds them.
I hope everyone has a great week ahead! I'm hoping Patti had a great retreat. Gerry please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Wow...lots of going on's while I was away...but it is that time of year.
I pray (and I will) that your cat scan will be perfectly clear Gerry!! Hope you will not be too concerned until you get results. As you know...worry is a negative prayer. I bet you had the most wonderful time with your family over Thanksgiving! And computer issues...oh my! As for the carpet in the spinning room...we had been gifted a lovely light grey and underlay. What I really wanted was a wood floor (for easy clean up)...but economics came in the way. And I am ok with that!
I know about the peace and goodwill of people Judy...had that at the retreat. They have a set schedule for everything in your day...with some free time. As always it was wonderful to be in the Word and closer to Jesus. I am filled!!
You are such a go-getting gal Misa! Lots of things happening for you. Happy that you are spending lots of time with your Mom! That is sooo wonderful that shoes will be given to the children!!! I am sure by now you have figured out what you are making for the impromptu potluck! Hope it all goes well!
Make a beauteous day for yourselves!

I am not surprised that your retreat sees you back home refreshed, relaxed and happy Patti. For me this past week although the years pass remains this week was a hard week to get though, has me thinking it would be a good to do much the same as you come next October.
What a great weekend Misa, please keep sharing your weekend adventures and you too Judy! I love my mornings here at our little corner of calm.
I am still finding this new tablet a learning experience and hope to share our Thanksgiving over at our Potluck Thanksgiving thread also maybe finally doing photos! Thank you for the good thoughts for tomorrow, I assured with the specialists office that the scan was needed, since there are still too many symtoms as I said I am sure the specialist knows what needs doing better than I do. What ever the results I am positive that there will be a solution. Wishing everyone a great week!

I decided to make a couple of batches of cheddar drop biscuits since they were easy to throw together and would compliment most things. I bought a nifty pan cover to fancy up taking food to work in recently, so I'm glad to see it being used tomorrow.
I'm going to load up on vitamins - two teachers in the past week have been diagnosed with strep! My cohort in crime being one of them. She will be out at least another day, but we did start coordinating plans for a day out. We're both taking a personal day in mid-November to drive over the state line to view Biltmore decked out for Christmas and see the Downton Abbey exhibit. They have started decorating the house already, as it is a feat to do. (Truly Christmas will be here before we know it!)

Good idea Gerry about a retreat or just a couple of days in a B&B next October! You will probably find that it will be just what you need to get through the memories. My thoughts are with you dear one.
Sure hope you stay well this season Misa...and preventative vitamins will surely help. Oh I bet the Downton Abbey display will be amazing!
Off again this weekend for a Spin Out in Salmon Arm. So will be gone for the whole weekend. I am tired of travelling this month. Did get my arse out yesterday to vote and took Astrid with us.
Wishing you a marvellous day!

misa thoughts of your cheddar bisquits bring me to thoughts of dairy rolls as they also have cheddar cheese. hmm a better alternative than a dessert.
my mail-in ballot came in mail yesterday, i should get busy and delve into it.
a b&b sounds nice but as dont have car going someplace would be tricky
is everyone ready for Halloween ?
