Made a traditional (not) bacon and cheddar focaccia. What are you baking these holidays?

And some pumpkin rolls from a recipe at http://www.beyondkimchee.com/pumpkin-dinner-rolls/

FOCACCIA . . . now you're talking my language! Looks delicious! Too late to try today, but will make this weekend.

I've never seen pumpkin shaped buns - they are absolute winners, so perfect for Thanksgiving. Happy you shared! :)

Hanukkah 2014 begins in the evening of Tuesday, December 16, I'll be baking but sadly not with yeast :( I wish I could do better baking with yeast, I've tryed many a time but my bread comes out like a rock :? looking at all of these lovely looking photos makes me want to try again :)

Have tried using instant yeast (some refer to it as bread machine yeast)? It's much easier, just mix in with the flour and continue the recipe!

I echo the vote for instant yeast. Just mix it with the flour.

I think most yeast failures come from the water being too hot. Test the water with your wrist to get a reading for lukewarm. Hot tap water is usually 20 degrees hotter than yeast can stand. Another problem is using old yeast.

Instant yeast is like instant potatoes . . . foolproof! Give it a try!
