Grill Fest VI - Quesadillas and Tomato Bisque

Yes, the soup was cooked on the grill.

First the tomatoes from the night before was grilled. I posted some grilled tomatoes so, I didn't bother posting again. Just thick slices (3 per tomato) were grilled 4-5 minutes to get a bit a smoky flavor. This was the base of my bisque.
Also fresh tomatoes, onions, leeks, fennel, garlic, carrot, celery, sherry wine, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, fresh basil; pureed until pretty smooth. My play on a bisque.

The quesadilla was clean out the fridge. Frozen corn, a jar of hot spicy olives and jalapenos, black olives, salsa, and shredded mozzarella. I have to admit, it was awesome. I wish I had a better pic. I also cooked the corn on the grill. This was the pan after I stuffed the quesadillas - this is leftovers for todays lunch. Maybe a better pic op. Sour cream of course.

Thx Derf, I love to grill; and really thing anything can be done on the grill. I would rather grill vs anything else ... I guess I think like Bobby Flay :)
