I only hit contrast and took out a bit of black on the rim of the pan - Your photo was great as it was but thanks I had fun playing with it!

I don't think it needs playing with either! Bea is a wonderful food photographer! You ladies really give me something to aspire to. (Not that I will ever get that good, but hey, I can dream!)

Dissie and KC both of you can be proud of the photos you post! I have posted around 8500 photos and I am still learning and have some real bloopers. I think every photo is a new challenge and I still aspire to get that special something that some of our members can capture in their photos

Thanks ladies, I don't know how many food photos I have taken, but I know it's a lot, lol. And as Bergy said, it is a learning experience.

Bergy, just that bit of cleaning up made it look that much better, I'm off to add it to the recipe.

Here is an unedited photo of asparasgus soup - If you wonder what those 2 blobs are in the soup they are ice cubes - I don't like my soup too hot

Here I got carried away and over cloned

This was as far as I got

Here I cropped first, there was still a bit ot that lacey plastic showing so I cloned that out, cloned out theice cubes and the gave a bit more contrast and that was it. Still needs a bit more work.

Bergy I couldn't resist
not sure if this is better or worse  but i had fun trying :D :D :D
i cropped, added levels, contrast and sharpened it a wee bit, zoomed in once to enlarge it from having made it smaller from cropping it, which fuzzied it up
