I tried this recipe today to use up some extra tomatoes I had. All I have to say is WOW :!:
The rich tomato flavour in this powder is amazing. I will be growing more tomatoes next year just for this recipe. I tried a a small scoopful of the powder with dried basil, salt and pepper in a cup of boiling water then stirred in a bit of corn starch and had a great cup of tomato soup.

I used 1 large tomato per tray.

Here are the tomatoes after 3 hours, just before turning them over.

And here are the tomatoes when they are all crisp and done

I love my dehydrator Derf. And it was not that expensive, I paid $50 for it and I use quite a bit! I dehydrate fruits with it and make jerky also. It was a good investment I think.

Beatrice... I have never heard of tomato powder, but it looks interesting and I bet the powder is full of flavor... What have you used them in? The photos are great and I love looking at each step as you make them!

I have used the powder in soups, chili and in a spaghetti sauce. I will be making this a lot from now on. I have already bought a bunch of marked down tomatoes just for this.
