Those who have gone on to the big kitchen in the sky

Post by Shadows1 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 12:01 pm

I want to start this thread to honor all those great cooks that have enlightened our palates.
Please find recipes from those who were here and now not, make them and photograph your outcome here .

I am in! I make lots of those recipes anyway! But I will need help on posting pics. I never could figure it out after a few things changed.

I just read of Bergy's passing. Well... What an amazing lady she was.
I have a recipe tagged right now in the Pick Me game and when I make it, I'll also post the pics here if that's alright. Oh my goodness.

Thank you Shadows, what a great idea to honor Bergy and all the members we have lost, all will be missed. Back in 2004 when I joined my first recipe site it was not just my first recipe site it was my first online venture. Both Bergy and Derf were among the first to welcome and encourage.

To the loss in our Photo Forum, in Bergy's honour I will make #recipe5279
Unable to do a photo at this time I will share three of Bergy's recipes that have become family favorites. Loved Bergy's weekends, the Saturday Burgers, the Sunday Brunches, I was so taken with her Sunday afternoon Memory Lane appetizers and martini I went out and got the makings and the glasses!
Bergy's martini #recipe625
Bergy's awesome Danish Pickles #recipe141
Bergy's great tasting zucchini salsa #recipe5976

In memory of Derf who was always warm, welcoming with awesome photos and wonderful recipes. Derf and Bergy made an awesome team. I will make her fresh salsa #recipe10070
Sharing three of her wonderful recipes.
Derf's #recipe1109
This is so good, not only has it become a family favourite it gets raves whenever it is served. With our escalating numbers it may be some time before we gather, perhaps this year come holiday time I may have to make do with egg nog or a Bailys.
Derf's #recipe3958
A wonderfully creamy chowder, love love the addition of the jalapeno. Its one of those those how can anything this easy taste so good!
Derf's #recipe8698
One of my favourite combinations, the balsamic takes this one over the top. It has seen to many makings.
