My heart is broken this is just the saddest news..we have lost an icon in the recipe world. Not only was Bergy a beautiful soul she was a real chef with many wonderful recipes. I loved chatting with her. She was one of our Food Photo forum hosts for many years and contributed many tips and great recipes.
Bergy we all love you and you will be missed by me and so many people but I know you will be around in spirit forever and always.
RIP my beautiful friend...
If you can eat, you can make it!

Just heard the news and I am just heart broken. She was always such a warm person. I am going to hope that Derf was there waiting for her and am going to picture them together now. Very sad day.

I know I will miss her and her burger comments and new recipes!
She has been a corner stone in the photography section and her wonderful photographs will be missed.
Seems most of the originals here are slipping into the eternal kitchen, to join the other great cooks from this site who have gone before! Rest in peace Bergy!

I too find my heart breaking on hearing of the loss of our dear Bergy. 0ver the years I marvelled how multi talented, adventurous, warm and caring Bergy was, and yes as Carol said an icon in the recipe world. Awesome recipes, photos that enticed one to check the recipe and most often to head to the kitchen. We are so going to miss the Saturday Bergy burger photos along with the Sunday brunches with the eggs always done to perfection and the wonderful Sunday afternoon appetizers to go with that martini. So many wonderful recipes and photos were shared with us. My heartfelt sympathy to her family and many many friends.

I am so sad to hear this news. Bergy brought so much to this cooking site, and we will surely miss her. Till we meet again in the "Kitchen In The Sky", fly high with the Angels my friend!
