I know oysters are 1 of those things that you either love or hate. However, I can tell you that my family loved them & often made oyster stew. I loved the stew broth, but gagged for an eternity at the thought of trying to down a raw oyster. I was forced to do it ONCE & threatened to leave home & never return if they made me do it again. BUT I have come to love both fried & smoked oysters. Neither are slimy or attack my gag reflex w/o mercy. Just sayin ...
