I just finished The Help last night. I started reading a couple of months ago and just couldn't get into it. Since so many of my friends had fallen in love with it I decided I had to try again. So glad I did. After the first few pages it grabbed me and I couldn't put it down.
Not sure if I will watch the movie though. There is soooooooo much in this book that I cannot imagine how they could possibly do it justice in two hours.

I enjoyed this book from the get go. I was sorry when it was finished as I wanted to know more. A very good ending. The movie was very good also something you will not see me post often.

I liked the book but had a hard time getting into it. Once I was into it I couldn't put it down.

I read the book and watched the movie. I loved both. Even my daughter and husband loved the movie so I would definitely recommend seeing it.

I wasn't sure about seeing the movie but I probably will now. When a book is really good, the movie, most times, doesn't do it justice.
Thanks for the input!

Catz, I agree about the movies compared to the book. "Water for Elephants" was a wonderful book but hated the movie.
Now "The Help" movie was very good! I do not feel this happens often.

I read the book months ago, and saw the movie twice! I generally don't like what the big screen does to a great novel, but this one worked very well. And I got buttered popcorn. Twice.
