Bag of Bones

Post by amafor3 » Thu Dec 29, 2011 3:51 pm

I DVR'ed A&E's Bag of Bones series with Pierce Brosnan and thought it was ok but not as good as what I was expecting from the previews.

Has anyone read Stephen King's Bag of Bones book?

Is it worth reading after seeing the movie? I am sure there was a lot left out of the movie and was hoping the way it ended was on a happy note.

Sorry if I posted this question in the wrong place.

I watched both shows on TV For it was good but it was kind of silly, out of 1 to 10 I would rate it a 7

I didn't see the movie, but I absolutely recommend the book!

I've often found that with rare exceptions, pretty much everything made from his books as far as movies/TV specials go, are not as good as I wish. He just puts so much more into the books that cannot possibly be conveyed on the screen effectively.

I really wanted to watch that movie. Saw the ad on TV & I should have marked it immediately. That will teach me!

I have to admit that I recorded it and we turned it off after 30 minutes. The books are always good, but those movies just can't touch the book. I thought it was silly. DH tolerated it for my sake, but I noticed he was playing Angry birds on the iphone through most of it
