What Are You Reading 2020
Re: What Are You Reading 2020
Well with administrating Recipezaazz and another major site from my home I do find an hour here and there to read..at this moment I just starting reading the The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, phD. It's supposedly the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted..and one of the top books on health. So far within just a few pages I have read some interesting info...

Finding time to read is time well spent. It is said reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. Being a collecter of quotes has me think to "Books are important for the mind, the heart and the soul. A book is a garden, an orchard and a storehouse"
I had always read both non fiction as well as fiction, since the last eye flair in spring the extra drops must have helped as I have been able to one lot more reading, thankful for our e library and to my well stocked e library. Not quite as good as holding a book but I know how fortunate I am. Happy reading!

The Princess Diarist-
Such a great read so far, all about Carrie Fisher and her role as Leia
Hey all I am so sorry I have not been around this past year, Just kinda been in a funk ( as is everyone else) and been not motivated to cook as of late but I am truly trying to get back into the swing of things, 2020 was very hard, as it has been for everyone else. .. I am hoping to get back to cooking and interacting with this community again.

I just started reading The Orphan Collector by Ellen Marie Wiseman. This takes place during the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic with a 13 year old girl telling the story. Pia, is also a German immigrant which during the times is significant. The deaths, shortages and lines are part of the story along with telling Pia's story. Also I just started the book, it seems like it will be a good read and very easy to compare the time of the Spanish Flu Epidemic with today.
Finished The Orphan Collector -- it was a good book and written well but also a bit disturbing. It did talk a lot about the 1918 Flu Epidemic and also about the deaths and orphanages because of all the deaths and also the state of orphanages during that time period. Other items were mentioned, but the orphan collector herself is the disturbing part, but everything is also fictionalized. A good read though.
