Altering a recipe to make on the BBQ

Post by QueenBea » Sun Jun 05, 2016 9:15 pm

I made Bergy's http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/easy-s ... room-23863 but altered it to make on the grill. So many recipes can be made on the grill and this one was perfect for this.

I halved this recipe for just two of us and altered it to make on the BBQ. I mixed the patty ingredients together and grilled them over medium-high heat for a couple of minutes per side then I placed the remaining ingredients in a foil loaf pan and added the patties to the pan, covered it with foil and let this cook over indirect heat for 30 minutes, it worked perfectly!!! This is a tasty dish we served with rice.

I have a Boston Butt in the freezer down stairs that I am going to smoke and turn into barbeque as soon as I can get my wife to bring it up stairs ( I can't do stairs ). It is going to take about 12 hours to do the way I want to do it. I will post photos and recipe once it is completed.
Anyone else using their grill or smoker yet this year?

Im looking forward to hearing how it worked out for you.

My smoker is getting refurbished, the bottom was starting to rust out, I cant wait to start using it again.
