Shanni- The pumpkin bars seem just the ticket as my daughter and son-n-law will be arriving late tomorrow from Florida so a sweet treat is in order. Many birds completed with one stop.

Have a great day everyone.
I am going to be making a little bit of pumpkin butter as well soon. Not too much though- I already did apple butter this year as well as a batch of peach-pear butter. Great for shelf-stable food, which is also good for emergency food storage.

I have saved several recipes and thank all of you very much. So far have made pumpkin butter, pumpkin sauce, pumpkin soup, pumpkin bread. All have been given to neighbors or frozen for our cold winters. I have 3 more pumpkins hubby brought home from the field so will be cooking more tomorrow. I think cookies are in order for work lunchbox for hubby and son-n-law. :D
