Sliders

Post by Shadows1 » Thu Dec 29, 2022 2:57 pm

There used to be a restaurant called "The Ground Round " , gone now.
They used to have a platter of sliders, think it was 10 or 15 of then.
They were out of this world.
Does anyone know how they made them?

Haven't heard of it until now, but I love a platter of good sliders. :)

I looked up the restaurant in my search engine, and apparently they are still a chain.

I got this off a menu posted online. The only Sliders on the menu.
"Grilled and topped with pepper-jack cheese and caramelized onions on a grilled sweet roll. Served with a garnish of onion rings and a side of gr sauce"

Thanks but that is not the ones I remember, these were on dinner roll size buns and could be popped right in the mouth whole.

"They" usually make sliders on King's Hawaiian sweet rolls, which are dinner roll sized.
As most recipes go, you fill up a pan with the bottom layer of the package of Hawaiian rolls, add the cooked mini burgers (White Castle size), top with cheese, whatever else you are putting in there, and the top layer of the pack of rolls.
Brush with seasoned butter, cover with foil and bake in a medium oven to melt the cheese and whatnot.
Usually served on gameday party menus.

If you try this with your best memory of them I bet you will be close to the mark.
