Re: Alphabet Soup Recipe Tag Game 2014/2015
Sorry... I made this ages ago, before Christmas in fact, and forgot to review it.
So very sorry, but have just reviewed this recipe. Suppose better late than never!

For my tag http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/baked- ... rice-21423
Baked French Onion Rice by Madonna due 23-Jan.
Could I have an extension please?
I am having such trouble finding any canned French Onion Soup.
It's summer here, and the supermarkets take a lot of soups of the shelves for summer. I have been to 3 different supermarkets and can't find any type of canned French Onion!
I bought packet French onion soup mix, but think it will be far too salty using that.
OR I was thinking ....I could substitute for chicken soup and chicken consommé, anyone else think that would work well ?

Tisme...The chicken option would work beautifully. If you wanted to have the French onion...what I would do is caramelize some onions, add low sodium beef broth (preferably homemade) and reduce it down...then use it that way in the recipe. Just a thought.

Good idea, will have a think now. ;)
If its not too hot on the weekend, I will try that, but if it's hot might just go the chicken option. Thanks Luvcookn
