I threw a tapas party I think last year, and one the year before too. It was a blast.

I have a couple of shrimp and potato recipes that were very fun. I also have a nice beef one we all liked very much.
Of course; we did 2 sangria mixes ... one white, one red.

I will be back with a couple of dishes. I liked. I may of saved my entire menu; which I can send you. I don't have all the links in it; but, it will give you some ideas. I normally save all my party menus.

Back later.

Carol, Spanish ... but thinking back to a winter fun in the sun I'm sure we had a mini Tapas in New Mexico! I have made Tapas dishes but Saturday was a for sure first for this woman from Saskatchewan! http://www.thecapitol.club/ Check out that menu (the cheese board was fabulous - awesome paella and great ribs ... cocktail listing have to admit I went with a cold one!
In the planning cocktail wise thinking to
Derf's #recipe1109
Bergy's #recipe625
and ... our family fav non alcohol punch #recipe2302 (with offerings of wine -the addition of wine makes for an awesome spritzer)
:)

Well, I didn't find my menu for my tapas party; but, found my notes. I usually keep all these for future ideas.

First is a list of some ideas we got off the internet and also, other tapas restaurant menus.

Marcano almonds is a must, roasted
Marinated olives; usually with onion, oil, orange vs lemon is common
Stuffed figs w/blue cheese, almonds, and honey
Bites of manchego cheese wrapped with serrano ham
A small bite of chorizo wrapped with a jumbo shrimp and grilled
Artichokes in a creamy garlic sauce
Serrano Ham wrapped around melon, peaches, or your favorite fruit
Any salt cod fritter or salt cod recipe
Cured tuna served with a vinaigrette is very popular
Potato croquettes with ham and cheese are typical
An omlette usually with thin potato slices and egg is very common. You can even slice it and serve on a baguette with tomato and mayo; called Bocadillo el Caminom
Potatoes roasted with oil, paprika, and garlic is very common. Usually the small/mini yellow potatoes
Earthy roasted mushrooms also are common mixed with potato dishes
Also, chorizo everything ...
Roasted with shrimp, potatoes, or other seafood
Gazpacho
Roasted veggies (peppers, mushrooms, onions) served w/a anchovy vinaigrette
Anchovies and sardines, very popular. Usually served w/vinaigrette; the sardines, usually fried w/aioli
Tomatoes, stuffed with manchego and roasted
Steamed clams and mussels; can be mixed with choriozo; or just a spanish white wine
Serrano or bacon wrapped dates stuffed with marcona almonds
Fried calamari w/aioli
Or ... simmered in a tomato broth
Scallop ceviche
Roasted potatoes w/paprika, serrano ham, garlic; topped with a poached egg and roasted tomato puree

There is a delicious marinated chorizo recipe in spanish red wine.

Many Greek or Italian recipes; can be made as Spanish recipes. Using Smoky paprika, anchovies, spanish wines vs the Italian versions. Especially adding almonds, fruits, the spanish olives, etc.

White Balsamic is often used more than balsamice; or sherry even more so. Olives in sherry is very common. And, vinaigrettes are very common as well; especially on roasted vegetables.
