Kim...along with the stairs...I shovel snow and snowblow. And here we get tons of snow. Right now we have 4 1/2 feet. And Jan/Feb are our heavy snowfall times. Oh yeah! Because of where our home is located...we do not get any direct sun in the winter. However I am out and about feeding birds and nailing pig skins to the trees for the piliated woodpecker/flickers etc. And I do take a Vit D everyday...just in case. Thanks for mentioning it! :D

I will let you know how the salmon turns out and will post a pic. Will post recipe if it is gooda! :D

That's a great idea because as a weight watchers rep told me years ago, you don't even need to buy those if you can hold a can from your pantry in each hand. And if they are too big for your hand, then a piece of duct tape works wonders, wrapped around and twisted into a handle. 8-)

For this birthday dinner on Sat...I am making an herb/lemon stuffed whole sockeye salmon on a bed of roasted red potatoes and fennel.
Reminds me that I had seen a beautiful whole salmon at the market- around 3 pounds, fresh as all get out, only $5.99#
I passed on it since I have a ton of salmon in the freezer but it keeps calling to me. LOL
I hope your recipe turn out great and you share it! :)

I just finished all my salmon ... need to re-stock. Luvin, being from MI; OH, I so remember those days. That is serious work I know; I remember it before SNOW BLOWERS.

Luvin, just outside is enough. Clouds or not, you still get the good stuff. Lack of Vit D can cause listness, tired, achy bones and muscles; and, a host of other problems. So, just grab a bottle and take one ... if you tend to be an INSIDE GAL. You may notice a big difference

Sue...I hope it turns out too! I don't usually do whole fish...so will be an adventure... Will post and take a pic before the crowd gets to it.

Kim...we got another 8" of snow overnight and I am just going outside to shovel the pathways to the chicken coops and around the house.

Made a crock pot full of veggie soup with a few pieces of smoked pork. The aroma is wonderful. No recipe...just what I had on hand. Seasoned it with bay leaves, garlic, chipotle mango seasoning and finished it with lemon juice. Will be having a bowl of that after snow removal.
